• Completed a unit on punctuation as well as introduced/infused aspects of punctuaton in to other lessons and units through direct instruction and practice
• Cover the following:

7th grade:

8th grade:

• Punctuation is not addressed through direct instruction as students need to acquire the skills to use punctuation prior. Students are assessed when they use incorrect punctuation in their writing.
• Personal Narratives: Using personal narratives as mentor texts, students learn how author's punctuation to achieve desired effects.
